Who we are
The Macaronesia project arises as an entrepreneurial initiative that aims to connect the archipelagos of the Canary Islands, Madeira, Cape Verde and the Azores, with the objective of promoting their union and shared growth.
With our home port in the Canary Islands, where we were born and currently reside, we strongly believe in the importance of supporting local businesses and encouraging responsible tourism that respects and values the natural beauty of our surroundings.
Through our platforms welikecanarias, welikemadeira, welikecaboverde y welikeazoreswe intend to be a tool for both residents and visitors to enjoy the best of these archipelagos.
We know that archipelagos like ours depend heavily on tourism, but it is essential that we collectively become aware of the importance of caring for them. Sustainable tourism not only protects our natural environments, but also ensures that future generations can enjoy their beauty intact, without compromising their legacy.
We believe it is vital that we all understand that tourism, if managed sustainably, can be a tool to improve local quality of life, without compromising our resources. The real challenge is not to blame the visitor, but to work together to find solutions that benefit everyone, without damaging what makes our islands unique.
